Airbrushes
WHAT IS AN AIRBRUSH?
An airbrush is a tool that Aerosols make-up using compressed air. When the product in the airbrush mixes with air, a fine mist is created.
Airbrushing can be used for many different disciplines; in our industry it can be used for makeup, hair art, body designs, nail art and tanning.
Single-action
- Constant air-flow
- Simple to master
- Fixed needle/nozzle size
Most commonly used in home-use systems, single-action airbrushes are very easy to use with a single trigger movement controlling the release of the product.
A constant flow of air helps to keep the airbrush from blocking.
The ease-of-use also has limitations. It is difficult to create precision work with single-action airbrushes.
Best suited for application of airbrush foundation.
Double-action
- aka. Dual-action
- Adjustable needle/nozzle size
- More flexibility, precision & artistry
Double-action airbrushes are popular in the cosmetic industry for their versatility.
Ideal for use with not only make-up, but also body art paints, hair art colours and even airbrush nails.
The name ‘double-action’ refers to the operation of the trigger. Moving up and down controls the air flow while moving forward and back controls the product.
This type of airbrush enables the creation of detailed and decorative line-work.
